Washing and care

To preserve the softness, sheen and quality of the silk, we recommend following our washing instructions:

• Wash on a delicate cycle at 30 °C
• Use detergent intended for silk or wool
• Wash the bedding inside out and preferably in a laundry bag
• Avoid tumble drying
• Air-dry the bedding in the shade
• Iron at low heat if necessary

Mulberry silk has a positive effect on both your skin and hair. The smooth silk fabric is less likely to absorb moisture from your skin, keeping it hydrated throughout the night. The same applies to your hair, where the silk helps maintain its natural moisture balance. By sleeping on silk, you can also avoid frizzy hair, which can potentially lead to split ends.

Silk also has temperature-regulating properties, ensuring that you stay at a comfortable temperature during the hot summer heat. If you struggle with sleep problems due to hot nights, itching, or dry skin, silk is therefore ideal for you. In addition, silk is known to be anti-allergenic, making it an obvious choice if you have allergies or suffer from asthma. 

This product is made of mulberry silk and certified by OEKO-TEX, guaranteeing that the textile has been tested for harmful substances and is therefore harmless to your health. 

1. Preparation: Start by turning your silk bedding inside out and closing the zipper. A laundry bag is also recommended.
2. Separation: Keep your silk bedding separate from other textiles, especially those with sharp zippers or hard materials that could scratch the silk.
3. Temperature: Use cold water to wash silk bedding. Hot water can damage the fibres and cause shrinkage or color loss.
4. Mild detergent: Use a mild detergent intended for delicate fabrics. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the silk.
5. Hand wash or delicate cycle: You can either hand wash the silk bedding or use a delicate cycle in your washing machine. If you use a washing machine, choose a gentle program with a low spin speed to avoid stretching or damaging the fabric.
6. Rinsing: Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue. You can repeat the rinse several times to ensure that all the soap is gone.
7. Drying: Avoid wringing or stretching the silk bedding while drying. Instead, gently squeeze out excess water and then let it air-dry on a flat surface or hang it on a hanger. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can cause discoloration.
8. Ironing: If necessary, you can iron your silk bedding on low heat, preferably inside out to avoid direct contact with the heat.
